ZED 6 power supply issue

Hi BMXbandit. Sorry for the delay. I’ve had great service from Adrian at AB-electronics.net. +44 (0)7780 504149. He can supply the replacement PSU module. Trust this helps. Pete.

I would like to ask for your kind help. Can someone tell me exactly how much voltage the Zed6 power supply produces? The power supply of my mixer is also broken, but I would like to convert it to battery operation and turn it into an all-in-one console for places where I have to work without an AC source. Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi DJBAKESZ. It produces +12 and -12v, and 48v for the microphone phantom power. If you don’t need the phantom power, you could try a dual rail switching supply like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/381983816265 I don’t know if it will supply enough current, but it would be close and worth a shot.

Hi ANH,
Thanks for your fast reply.
Ther are thre wires from psu to mixer.
Do you mean -12,gnd,+12?
Where is the phantom power?

Hello,
The wire that is connected with the 7812 IC is +12V.
The wire that is connected with the 7912 IC is -12V.
The remaining wire is phantom power (~50V).
Ground is connected via the metal housing.

Hi benrup,
Thanks a lot.
Now, its clear for me.

Many Thanks to ANH
Das hat mein Problem gelöst . Ich habe eine SB3100 für D7 eingebaut.

I also many thanks those guys who support me.
My Zed6 now working.
My friend.changed the shottky diode to SB5100, now everyything works fine.

Best regards

Great to hear people are fixing their Zeds and keeping them from landfill!

Hi ANHT, I just registered on the forum. I also had the same problem with the ZEDi8 power supply. The D3 SB1100 diode was shorted, I replaced it and the mixer works, the voltages are correct but it emits a loud hiss. I tested the other components but they work correctly, I also replaced U1 but nothing changed.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Savio. I would replace the 7812 and 7912 regulators on that board for a start and see if that fixes it.

Thanks Anht, I’ll try.
