HEADS UP!
After loading V1.12, recalling my backed scenes returned a dozen or more “INVALID” DCAs, Groups and Mixes. Effects sends are gone.
I have a ton of work to do before Sunday now.
Hopefully your mileage varies. Good luck.
Can you please make V1.11 available as a previous version rather than just the V1.03 that is currently up on the A&H downloads site?
@psarahtonen
Thanks for letting us know. Have you recalled your Show file after updating the firmware, or only Scenes?
We recommend backing up a Show file and recalling it after each update.

Since a firmware update resets the configuration of the desk to a default value you will need to recall a show that holds your configuration.
To revert to 1.11 will not solve your problem. Only a show recall would do.
Thanks for the heads up Jack!
They just made 1.13 with fixes
Those fixes have nothing to do with the issues you experienced. A show file is the only thing that stores all settings of the console. A scene file leaves out a specific set of functions (like the aux/buss/fx setup, and other “core” settings of the console).
The firmware update screen very specifically warns people to save their SHOW file. The written firmware instructions have the same instructions/warning. Simply saving a scene file and trying to restore the console from that will not work.
Hi all. Concerning firmware for Avantis. I recently joined the tech team at our church, they are using the Avantis and GX4816. I noticed that they had not (ever) updated the desk since new and is currently sitting with v1.00.
Question: Will I have to update the desk in release sequence or can I just install the v1.13 firmware release?
Thanks for any suggestions.
CJ
You can go directly to v1.13, or any other firmware version.
Thanks Scott, I appreciate the reply.
