Can an SQ4YOU user on, say Aux 1 for both bands, have different fader assignments for different shows that remain memorized, or are the assignments per iPad?
I think the app is just replicating and controlling what is on a given aux bus, so, if the scene/show has different levels, then so would the app. I don’t believe it’s saved in the app.
Absolutely, yes. You can save separate scenes on the SQ for each band. Tablets are just an interface, all the data for the SQ is saved on the SQ.
Not quite; the custom layers in SQ-MixPad can be specific to (saved on) the iPad, or they can be set to follow the mixer’s.

For levels of each fader, it’s stored on the SQ so you can save them by scene, but if your question is about assigning inputs to group wheels of the app, it seems to be stored in the app, and I don’t see any way to store and recall it.
