12 stereo groups/aux -> 24 mono groups/auxes (sq+)

One thing that would be useful to have is the option to have the same stereo/mono configuration option on groups and auxes as is available on matrices. Meaning if you go from stereo to mono, you get 2 mono channels.

Your group/aux configuration would still work as before (You do the split on 12 stereo channels), but when you make the stereo group or aux mono, you get 2 mono channels.

From a workflow perspective: when you make aux 1 mono (which would be assigned to your mix 1 button on the console), pressing once would give you access to the first mono bus, a second time to the second mono bus and the third back to LR.

This would be super useful and would make the SQ an absolute beast.

The issue I’m facing now is that regularly I need to compromise on the usage of busses vs auxes (monitors). If this would be technically possible, that would be super awesome.

Could be useful and confusing at the same time. Almost certain to get the wrong mono channel.

That will most likely happen at some point. It was the first idea that came to mind which makes sense to me. Perhaps something can be done with lights to indicate on which group/aux you are in case you have split it.

Anyhow, rhow the userflow would need to be implemented I leave up to the A&H UX experts :slight_smile: , since they did a killer job on the sq5+

I do think that having the ability to split a stereo group/aux in 2 separate mono groups/auxes in itself would be a very nice upgrade.
