I’m sure i’m not the only one who has noticed this but on the feature suggestion threads the votes and +1 replies don’t correspond. Usually there’s more of the latter.
I wager that this was not ‘ported’ from the old forum and users need to manually update this, but:
if the vote count is indicative for A&H of how popular an idea is, it should at least be indicative of the +1s.
If users need to manually revisit a lot of feature suggestion threads to do this, perhaps they should be made aware of that.
A popup? Message? Sticky thread? I don’t know.
Maybe I’ve missed something.
Keep in mind that, as far as I can see at least, each user has a limited and finite number of votes that they can use on this forum.
Could it be possible that a lot of people have already run out of votes they can cast?
When we migrated from the old forum, there was no way to translate the old +1 replies into the new votes.
The important thing that you all need to know is that we won’t only check votes or +1 messages, both things will be taken into account when we’re considering suggestions by our community, and whilst we don’t always get to respond to things, we do read everything - so please rest assured that things are seen.
Everyone’s input is really valuable and we appreciate folk taking the time - there’s definitely no need to go back and re-vote for things if you’ve already +1’d it.
Regarding the finite votes - we’re still working out some of the voting functionality, so don’t worry too much about this. Reach out to us if there’s an issue and you can’t vote.
