So i would like to suggest what i think would be a very simple update very useful for cases when someone is using the matrix sends as a crossover for the PA system.
Unlike the inputs, the matrix sends only support a standard 12dB/octave low-cut filter that is usually not sufficient for the PA crossover setup.
If we could get 24dB per octave low and high cut on the matrix sends that would be amazing.
And please, include this on the new QU series!
Thanks
A bit risky for the PA but you have my vote.
Didn"t say i would use this regularly… the system should have a running crossover… however rather often it can help if you know what you"re doing.
Worked with an RCF hdl 28 system a couple of days ago… the owner didn"t have an RD-net processor that comes with the system so his 8 inch line array modules played down to 60hz. The matrix outputs can save the gig in these situations.
It"s also very easy to check the phase alignment when connecting the system trough matrix sends and if you don"t have enough outputs on the crossover to set up a cardio sub array, the matrix sends can also save the day! But they really need the 24-db/octave filters.
