Action toggle with scene recall

Hello,

I either have something set up wrong or I don’t understand it. I have some action recall toggles assigned to soft keys. When I recall a scene it recalls all of the parameters that the action would control. However, it does not recall the toggle status of the action.

I have some action recall, toggles assigned to soft keys. When I recall a scene it recalls all of the parameters that the action would control. However, it does not recall the toggle status of the action.

To put it another way, if I set up a action to toggle between preamp A and preamp B when the action is on preamp A, the button is blue and when it is on preamp B the button is purple. If I save scene one with the action on preamp A and save scene two with the toggle on preamp B when I recall those scenes, the preamp does change from A to B, but the button color never changes. This creates some very confusing visual feedback.

is there a way to get the soft button color to change with scene recall?

The reason it’s doing that is because the button’s color is bound to the state of the action, not the state of the whatever the action affects. Drives me nuts, but there’s not really a way to change it since actions can affect multiple channels.

I really wish they’d let the softkey “ABCD Set Channel” alternate between two ABCD settings… since it’s just one channel per softkey, that could directly reflect the status of the channel’s source.
