Additions to AHM ecosystem

Hello,

I would like to make some suggestions for additions to the AHM ecosystem:

  • DX expander like the DX012, but for Inputs. Also with the possibility to switch to AES Inputs with SRC. Till now the only option for AES Inputs is a DX32 Expander, which is a extremely space consuming solution.

  • Allpass Filters and higher Q for EQs. This would make the AHM more useful as a PA System Processor.

  • Delay Matrix. To add a delay matrix (different delays of an input per output) would add functionality for immersive applications.

Thank you.

Great ideas. Personally I would rate the priority of these in this order:
3
1
2

Hey, Alex! I was wondering if you had a chance to play with AHM V1.5 yet – I know it’s been a little while since you posted, but we’ve added 2 of the 3 things you’ve requested!

Hey,

thank you for your answer.
Firmware 1.5 is a great improvement to AHM! Thanks for that.
I’m sorry, but at the moment I just see the Allpassfilter and higher Q feature being added to AHM.

DX 120 and Delay Matrix are still missing ?

While the outputs can be delayed independently, that is not what the OP was asking for when it comes to a delay matrix. He is looking for a solution were different audio sources going out of the same output could have different delays set on a per source basis and the same source could have different delays set for each output.

That being said, if the OP needs an immersive sound processor, then they buy an immersive sound processor. I really can’t imagine A&H trying to morph the AHM into a fully featured immersive audio processor. If they want to get into the immersive audio market, I think A&H is much more likely to release a stand alone immersive audio processor before they would make the AHM do that.
