All Input Mute

Just got CQ18 and very pleased so far.
I can’t see anyway to mute “all” inputs other than individual selection. Or indeed mute all outputs ( main + aux) other than individual selection.
Have i missed this? Or is this related to lack of mute ‘groups’

Up to now there is no “Mute all input” assignable to one of the soft key.
Try to send your query into " CQ features suggestion".

This requirement would be covered by the popular request for the implementation of Mute Groups (where a single button can toggle on/off mute for a user defined mix of inputs and outputs), so I would recommend going to the feature request page and indicating your support for that feature.

You can use the scene feature. Create a scene you need, save it, then add mutes to all the desired channel, and save it as the next scene.

Then just toggle between the 2 scenes.

Hope this works for you.

Hello, I’m happy with CQ18T but no solution to assign “MUTE ALL” is very problematic ! How Hallen & Heath forgot this ?

This topic have alreay ONE YEAR…

Logical shoul be to add 3 features

  • Mute All intry
  • Mute All Aux output
  • Mute ALL output
In addition to °Mute main L-R

This is the perfect application for Mute Groups, added in v1.2 firmware.
You can have up to four. Go to Config → Control & Network → Mute Groups and assign input channels or outputs to the mute group.

There’s then an extra tab on the processing and fader pages to access the mute groups, or you can set them up on a custom layer, or assign them to a soft key.

The only thing that you might discover is that things can’t belong to more than one mute group, so you’d need a mute group for the aux outputs and another for the Main LR.
