Looking for some advice on troubleshooting a brand-new AHM-32.
On a long-term system installation project. Using AHM-32 as a system processor. Need help connecting unit to AHM system manager.
Firmware Version: V1.4.2
AHM System Manager Versions: (2) instances: V1.5.1 + V1.4.2
OS: MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.4.1
Network interface: OWC USB-C to gigabit Ethernet
Problem: AHM System Manager recognizes AHM-32 in the System>Connect window but when connection is attempted, request times out. Can’t update the firmware. Stuck on dialogue box for about 15 minutes until error message pops up.
Troubleshooting steps I’ve taken:
Manual IP Configuration: Ensured IP address was in the same subnet range as the AHM-32
Opened up I/O slot on AHM-32 to access dipswitch #6 (the network reset switch for the unit), power cycled the unit with dip switch engaged, and then power cycled again with dipswitch returned to off position.
Tried all of this with a different computer (Mac Mini, same OS, same AHM System Manager Software)
Seems that the only way to configure network settings on this unit is either to reset the network via the dipswitch, or already be logged into System Manager (which I can’t do). I’m lost on what to do next. Any advice?
