Allen heath Qu Chrome using Dante

Does anybody knows any interface for using Allen Heath Qu Chrome (not D models)for having 10 channels at least on a Dante network?

I don’t see a simple way to connect an outdated QU Chrome to Dante.
Expensive solutions like using another A&H console with Dante as an interface or an external Analog-to-Dante converter are probably out of the question for you.

Yes it would take some form of external Dante interface. Keep in mind with the version 1 QU’s you still would not gain any input channels over what the mixer surface hardware is configured for.

You would have to use a Dante-XLR bridge and run short XLR patch cables between the bridge and the mixer. Example:

[8x8 for $1500] Turtle AV Mineola 8x8 Dante Audio Bridge | Sweetwater

[16x16 for $2000] https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1904139-REG/turtle_av_tav_mineola16xlr_mineola_16_x_16.html?ap=y&smp=Y

Depending on what the sources are and which delay requirements you have, you could try Audinate’s Dante Via or Dante virtual Soundcard, connected to Qu’s USB inputs.

Physical Dante interfaces for 10 inputs however are quite expensive - you should think about a Qu5/6/7 “D” model.

Preamp control from the surface isn’t possible with an external interface at all and only with supported devices (e.g. A&H DT stage boxes) from a Dante-enabled Mixer:

For example, Monacor DADC-144 has potis, Avio Adapters require Software running in Win/Mac etc for preamp control etc

Avio adapters have no preamp control. They are controlled via Dante Controller or Dante Domain Manager.

Sorry Steffen, mein Fehler.

Thanks for correcting. Just wanted to point out what the OP might not have considered - that many Dante use cases require additional software.
