I know this isn’t possible now, but it would be cool to be able to use the built in wifi capability and ethernet jack simultaneously, especially if the CQ could act as a router for both, and eliminate some external hardware for those of us who do small gigs and like a simple setup.
pleas explain the purpose, or give an example what you are aiming for
should be so cool ! so I can control the CQ mixer and a DBX PA2 without need to add a router. Especially as it’s not very easy to change from CQ internal wifi to external router between gigs, as it was with my MR18 that has a dedicated switch
I don’t know why people insist on having the console handle WiFi. It’s always going to be a less than optimal solution with infrequent (if any) security updates.
A $35 GL-iNet Opal travel router will be 1000% better, more secure and more convenient than any “built in” WiFi functionality.
Less of a need and more of a convenience. I could get an external router, and wire up to the CQ, but that requires another piece of hardware in my already too-small mobile rack. Would be nice not to need this at all, if the CQ could act as a router itself and manage the network too. I understand if the hardware wasn’t designed to support this, but it is a wish list, after all.
On my Soundcraft Ui I’m able to connect to it with my Computer using the Lan Cable and my Tablet using Wifi at the same time. That would be great if I could do it on my CQ18 also.
I had a Ui16 and the reason I bought the CQ20 rather than the Ui24 was the WiFi reliability. The Ui16 is almost as bad as the Behringer mixers for WiFi stability.
However simultaneous Ethernet connection would be handy.
