How do you control the volume level of the alt out outputs on the new Q5 mixer separate from the main outputs?
You can use the output jacks A and B in addition to your other XLR outputs and patch them to e.g. any output channels.
If you patch them to a matrix (as shown in the image) fed solely by MainLR, you could use this way to further boost or attenuate your Main LR level.
But what would you like to do with these jacks?
Don’t think about controling the level of the hardware-output.
Think about controling the signal you send there .
If you you patch i.e. Mix 7 to Alt Out A/B, the Masterfader of Mix 7 will be the output level of the Alt Out. You define it on the ‘I/O’-page (last button under the display).
