Audio Latency on a Matrix

Is there a way to have a Matrix with a pre-input delay?

We are using an Avantis mixer in a control room and have to delay the mics to match the video for lip-sync. The issue is that our program speakers, who are fed from a matrix bleed into the director’s mic, and the talent hear themselves in delay, which causes confusion when talking on air and hearing themselves back in delay, similar to when you listen to yourself back on a badly delayed phone call.

Also, is there a reason why 0.74ms can’t be selected but 73 and 75 can?

Is this for a broadcast or in the room video? My next suggestion is easy to do for broadcast, but I understand that you probably wouldn’t have the in room audio being sent to the video processor which makes this harder to tackle.

Can your video processor handle the audio delay? Video generally takes more time to process than audio which is why it is very common to have a delay. Because of this, most video processors will have a way to delay the audio and bring those two items back in time with each other.

We could but the issue is we have a couple of different amounts of delay we need to match.
