I began working with Avantis Director from V 1.35. This problem didn´t change since the version 2.1. Indipendent of MacOs (on all my notebooks) and on a Windows 10 Computer.
I can not reproduce the behavior on any of my systems.
Win10, Win11, MacOS (MacMini)
I do not use Intel CPU or GPU.
I found this to be fixed in Avantis and Director V2.01. Have you updated both?
Hi, I updated to 2.01 on my windows computer. Now it´s fine there.
But still on one of my two Apple M1 Notebooks (the other one is at home; can’t check it at the moment) it looks like before. There is also sometimes a strange effect: Just moving around the cursor with my trackpad open windows. (Screenshot)
My notebooks are both M1 (1x Pro/1x Air) and have the same trackpad settings.
I have this problem when I connect via VPN from offsite. Are you connecting
via VPN? In that case I have to use a mouse and not the trackpad nor the
keypad. Frustrating but it works in a pinch.

my Windows computer is at home, and I connect to it via VPN. Everything works fine there.
It’s just my MacBook that’s still having the issues you mentioned. I don’t see any connection between the configuration and the problem.
I´ll try the mouse today or tomorrow…
Tried it at my MacBookPro M1: Still the same problems
I tried my Mac laptop in the venue today and it does not have the same alignment and trackpad issues i have when connecting from offsite via VPN. Sorry, that’s all I can do to help.
This is a bug I have experienced repeatedly. I’ll forgive it on my Windows laptop (move Director from a high-dpi screen laptop screen to an external monitor and you get various levels of issues in the safes and patch screens) but on MacBook it’s a little more irritating.
You can replicate the problem by zooming the patch screen, something that’s curiously easy to do in Director which seems extremely sensitive to rogue trackpad touches and often zooms or selects when I am scrolling. Zoom in a little and back out and you’ll discover that the patch boxes no longer vertically align with the channel list. It’s a slight discrepancy that builds for every additional row. Only the background grid is misaligned (for additional confusion) and the actual patch check indicator aligns correctly. Screen shot from M3 MacBook Pro with latest OS and Director 2.01.
Ich wüte es begrüßen, wenn man den Zoom halten könnte. So zu Patchen ist bei mir ziemlich fummelig, weil zu klein. Da gehe ich schnell ans Pult.
