I see that dLive now includes the Distressor compressor. Will this also be available for Avantis in a future dPack update? It’s a very versatile compressor.
Looking forward for this new compressor in the DPack.

Absolutely need it. I heard it in action on a snare group and almost cried. It’s so good.
Had the pleasure to work with it on a dLive recently and missed it the weekend after on an Avantis. Please add it to the pack, A&H!
Not only the distressor, but also the vocal tuner and many other tools. I mean, the extra DPack software costs more than enough to only have 2 tube amps and e few EQs more…, no?
First, the optional dPack plugins for the Avantis include a wide range of plugins including the PSE expander, various iconic compressor models, and 16 instances of the Dyn8 multi band compressor/EQ. In other words, it includes far more than just “2 tube amps and a few EQs”. It will well worth the cost IMHO to get these plugins.
Second, the RackUltra FX plugins use a considerable amount of processing power. This is why the DLive needs an extra processor to be installed in the DLive to run them. The Avantis apparently has a similar internal “upgrade” slot available, but I would assume that it would require a similar hardware upgrade to run those RUFX pluggins on the Avantis. Therefore I would not expect the RUFX plugins to make it down to Avantis unless there is a corresponding hardware upgrade as well.
All that being said, the Distressor compressor is not a RUFX plugin, so hopefully it can make its way down to the Avantis in a future update as part of the Avantis dPack package.
Hi, I think most of those compressors are also on my GLD. And in my opinion 1 good type is more than enough. For me different kind of tools such as the distressor, the vocal tuner… are more interesting than more of the same. And that’s what I always see in their promo’s I see on socials. The more I see them, the more I think hey what about that on Avantis where the DPack costs a lot of money. Luckely I did get the DPack through a promo…
