Backup CQ-18T Power Supply

My situation is a variation on this theme (and for CQ-12T). I was looking for a replacement power supply, but of the “wall-wart” style. In my particular use case @ my weekly venue, I don’t have a lot of space for such a bulky PS (esp. the mains cable). I contacted tech support and they sent me the OEM PS data sheet:

Tech support could not officially recommend any particular brand of replacement, but did confirm that “…it is a standard 12v, 5A, 60W, centre-pin positive power supply.” Note that, on the data sheet, the spec for the male connector to the back panel is listed as 5.5/2.1. I found that NOT to be true, as the first PS I purchased from Amazon with the 5.5/2.1 spec could not connect successfully to the back panel of my CQ-12T.

I ended up purchasing this one from Amazon which appears to be a match to the OEM voltage/wattage/amperage specs. Note that it’s a switching PS so negotiates the exact spec with the device. BTW, the male DC pin is 5.5/2.5 and fit perfectly the first time. I used this PS successfully for my 7/17 gig (4 hours), in addition to test-driving it several times during practice leading up to the gig:

Hope this info is helpful to many of you! Cheers!
