Bluetooth Functionality

The presets on the ME units is not the easiest nor fastest to use. It’s also easy to overwrite the presets, if the user is unfamiliar with the system.
If the USB port was enabled to accept a bluetooth dongle, a separate (or existing) app, could be used to save, and recall the presets on the unit and a person coud save this to their own device and be assured that the presets won’t be overriden.

What would you gain with a BT dongle. You can save/export/import the ME settings(and presets) to any properly formatted USB drive currently. We utilize a default(clean) preset for each weekend so the users aren’t dealing with last weeks set. All start with a clean slate.(trust me this have solved all of our original user issues) I have saved a copy of this configuration on a USB drive as a backup should someone mess up the saved preset. YMMV.

You gain security that your settings, if overridden, are still safe and secure

There is no “app” for the ME system. Therefore the method you use to access the device (Wifi, bluetooth, hard wired connection, etc ) doesn’t matter when the control protocol doesn’t exist to allow for these functions to be controllable through an external app.

Therefore the first step in any solution like this would be for A&H to create an API for the ME system where external apps could control/modify the system.
