Hi guys,
i found a bug in 1.4.4. when changing scenes.
When changing a from a scene where on a channel 48V is off to a scene where 48V on that same channel is on, the gain is peaking shortly a cause a short feedback.
Cheers,

if you switch the phantom power on it always peaks a moment
@SteffenR
???
Our phantom power is always on for any mike that needs it.
How would changing scenes turn phantom power off or on?
@Andre S
Sounds like the scenes all need phantom on initially to avoid the problem.
How would changing scenes turn phantom power off or on?
if it’s saved to the scene like that, as mentioned above
@SteffenR
Ours does not do that.
Why doesn’t having the phantom power on for each scene not turn it on or off when you change scenes?
I can see problems if the phantom power was off in some scenes and on in others.
I saw the same experience, and also thought it was related to version 1.4.4. However I realized that the scene which had more than 48V, did not have the good gain either. However I remembered that modifications were made on these scene, but WITHOUT STAGEBOX connected. And there indeed the scene is memorized WITHOUT 48V and a gain not in conformity. And so it will not be restored when we reconnect the STAGEBOX.
if no stagebox is connected how should the system know the right gain?
Sure, but we could have imagined that the gain and the 48V command be memorized in the scene, stagebox connected or not.
Hi @PBo67,
Preamp control (48V, PAD and Gain) are remote controls for the analogue preamp (pre-AD-conversion).
These are not a part of channel processing, and belong to each socket, rather than each channel.
Therefore, you would need to have the expander connected to set these - you couldn’t for example switch an input source to local, set the gain and then switch the source to an expander and have the same gain.
A scene will store all preamp settings, but again, the setting is socket based.
In fact, there are up to 33+128+128=289 preamp settings for an SQ-7!
Thanks,
Keith.
Hi Keith,
I don’t really understand this story of an expender !
moreover, unfortunately, there is NO expander on the SQ.
On other consoles, analog gain is one of the parameters memorized in the scene WITHOUT stagebox connected.
