Can anyone explain the workaround for this? The update is yet to come…
I don’t know about a workaround for that issue. But you can go back to an older firmware version to avoid the problem. Well, you can call that a workaround, if you will ?
Update
Now I have installed the new V2.01 Firmware on my DLive C2500 and CDM48.
After testing the bus levels - everything is working fine now. Problems with the low bus levels are gone.
+++ thx to Allen & Heath for the fast update release +++
cheers, Martin
I just updated yesterday to 2.01 and installed the FX card in my DM48/S7000 and am currently experiencing all the issues above. The monitor side of things on the DM32/S3000 is working just fine even with all the shared I/O. Super strange.
I would recommend contacting your supplier or allen and heath for direction on hard resetting the DM48. We had all these uses when we first upgraded to V2.0 and installing the UFX card, DM64 and s7000 had low buss output levels. Since then, we have backed up all the show files, reset the mix rack, installed V2.01 and all working smoothly at every start up.
Support is working with me on trouble shooting, The reset will probably be the next step.
I have recently aquired a CDM32 and a C1500. Have been wondering about the bus levels being so low. Until now I have just been testing the system at home (no gigs on it so far).
I’m wondering if the issue in this thread could be the same I’m experiencing.
When running a 440Hz sine with a level of for instance +3 dB from the built in signal generator to LR bus and monitoring the LR bus-meteres on the console they show around -14 to -12 dB when LR fader is set at 0 db. Also I notice on the RTA view there is some noise showing up there corresponding with weak crackling noises from the speakers/headphones.
The strange part is that leaving the generator running for a while (maybe an hour or so) is bringing the bus levels to normal levels. Now the level from the siggen is matching the output level, and it seems to be working fine until leaving the system off for a while and powering it on again.
Firmware versions 2.01 and 2.02 makes no difference.
The CDM32 is equipped with a gigaace copper card and the UFX card (also tried without the gigaace card and also tried with hard reset of the mixrack after installing both version 2.01 and 2.02).
C1500 is equipped with a Dante 64 v3 card (also tried without this card with same results).
When the isssue is present the output levels are consistently low on AES/EBU output, headphones output and analog outputs on the mixrack.
For you who had support help you wuth troubleshooting, did you find any solution to this issue?
Best regards,
Torbjorn
Hi,
Downgrade to v1.9, recall default show and check levels. If on v1.9 is OK and on v2.x not, contact with A&H support. I had similar issue.
Thank you for your suggestion downgrading to v1.9, D3F. I tried with v1.9A and default show/scene, and levels are now indeed correct right after poweron.
Hello @grindhaug and all,
A fix for this behaviour was introduced in V2.01, however, only a handful of units on the field still show the behaviour.
A new fix for this is expected to be introduced in the upcoming weeks through a new maintenance firmware.
Please stay tunned and update once released.
Thanks,
Rafael
Hey!
We just updated to the actual V2.03. During the first show everything was fine. But after shutting down and restarting one day later we do not have a signal on the main bus. the other busses are working so far. however, even after many more reboots we still have no signal on the main bus.
I think we will downgrade. Hope there will be a fix soon.
