Had an issue occur twice now where we have low or no audio going through busses after a power up. S7000 & DM64 hardware.
First time thought it was because operator loaded wrong show then immediately loaded correct show. Multiple show loads after without issue.
Second time console was powered up on correct show after virtual soundcheck the day prior. Audio through busses was 10+db below where it should have been. Rebooted console no change. Loaded different show, no audio through busses. Reloaded main show and rebooted issue cleared.
These were old show files that had been resaved with the new version. Will test next week after resetting the console to see if we can replicate the issue.
So the issue seems to only happen on startup, sometimes there is no audio on busses other times it’s low, we’ve not been able to duplicate any other way. When it happens the only fixes seem to be either load another show and then back to the current show, then power down and back on the mixrack, or reset the mixrack. Leaving the mixrack on and shutting down only the surface seems to resolve the issue for us now…
I’ve had the exact same issues, the inputs signals all read as normal on the surface, the channel output is low on the meter and it’s output buss level is either non existent or very low. There was no pfl/AFL levels or output to headphones at all.
I’ve tried recalling a different show then coming back to the same show file and it was better and at least working, each buss in the chain seemed to even still cut the signal by 12dB or more at each step. Channel to Group was low, group to LR much lower, LR to matrix even lower again.
I think, I have the same issue with the bus level.
After I updated to firmware 2.0 coming from 1.98 there are not the expected levels on my busses. Whether mtx, group, stereo, mono, aux - in every bus the same low level.
I tried to make a downgrade procedure to 1.98, then I went to 1.9A, then to 2.0.
It fixes my problem temporarily. But I wanted to be sure and did this procedure again - down to 1.98 - then to 1.9A and to 2.0.
Problems where again there with the bus levels.
I did a hard reset with my mix rack . No chance to get the levels on my busses that are needed to have a correct signal.
It seems that there is a major problem with this firmware.
I decided to wait until a newer firmware than 2.0 is coming with bugfixes.
Then I will try again to go to 2.0 - and maybe install the RackUltra FX card.
I´m on 1.98 and everything works fine for me.
hope this could help you guys to not wasting time with useless try and error
I am running a CDM32 plus Dante card with a Surface-less controller setup, containing 2 IP8s and a touchscreen.
I have planned the installation for Monday or Tuesday next week. But hope to hear back from A&H here before…
Got my UFX card and fw 2.0 installed yesterday. Until now it seems not to have caused any problems. Although I have only checked with virtual soundcheck.
I tried a heap of things to get it going before a friend pointed me to messages on Facebook about it.
Basically works fine on 1.x but when going to 2.0 metering and output level is very low. I could only use ext in for a bus to get noise out of the console but other than this there doesn’t seem to be any audio routing between busses within the console.
Tried with and without the ultra fx card to no avail.
I got a spare mixrack delivered before reading that there might be a way to hard reset or load show files a few times to fix it - but either way it looks like there might be a chance for it to re appear.
Hoping for a quick fix for this one - especially because there’s loads of work in a v2 show file that is not backwards compatible!!!
Quick update: we’re currently testing a fix and hope to release this next week. Only a small percentage of units seem to be affected, some intermittently on boot, which made this hard to reproduce and test.
