Can applied phantom power damage Mix Out?

Will I damage my QU-16 if phantom power (48Vdc) is applied to the cable going from my Qu mix out (Mix 4) to an audio interface that needs 48dvc power in order to use a condenser mic? Thanx

Good luck getting phantom on an output….

I think you need to read the manual of the interface in question again ?‍♂️

Thinking about this again I realized I misunderstood the question, so sorry about that.

Does that interface have extra inputs on jacks on the back maybe ? That’s probably the safer bet ?

Or plug the mic into the console and go from there.

Good luck !

No inputs on the back; only outputs.

I’m thinking of running a cable XRL at one end (from the mixer) to a 1/4" ts jack (other end) to the audio interface. Before connecting everything, I’ll use a volt meter and check to see if anything is being sent back to the mixer when interface’s phantom power is turned on.

The Phantom power will not damage the input.

I will no damage the mix out though I try not to let that happen. If I’m handing off a mix out to someone to feed their camera, recorder ect. I have a transformer iso in line not only to block any phantom power but take care of any grounding issues.
