Can flashing channel mutes be made to be solid when using a mute group?

Is there a secret way the flashing channel mute LEDs can be made solid when using a mute group?

At a couple of installs they use quite a few channels with the mute groups and the flashing is a little distracting.

Mute via DCA does the same thing, all of the groups are in use for various routing functions so that will not work as a work around.
Scenes would work, though I’m sure they would not always be updated and saved as needed.

Can the surface LEDs be dimmed independent of the screen?

Thanks
Mike C.

No and no.

That confirms what I was thinking.

You do have some dimming control by holding the setup key and rotating the multifunction knob.

+1 on this request. I’m actually installing an SQ today, but will have this same issue on a QU shortly.

Church setup. Want to be able to mute the whole band during the sermon. But that’s most of the channels, and no one wants to see all that flashing throughout the whole sermon.

The GLD had a separate LED beside each mute button to show this. Without that, I’d suggest the LEDs be half-lit (half brightness) when muted via group. Or I’d be fine with all of the channel mutes being solid and the Soft key flashing instead.

We have the same issue. We need to mute 24 band channels, but because we cant use a mute group, we are forced to mute each channel manually, one at a time, because it is impossible to sit at the console for an hour with 24 lights constantly flashing. Could cause brain damaged or epilepsy or something. I vote for a menu selection that would let us choose whether we want mute groups to show solid or flashing.

At a couple locations I’ve put the un muted channels in the custom layer, switching
to the custom layer hides the flashing mute buttons.

I haven’t used the QU, but I assume they mutes flash because of the mute group and they are normally solid when muted individually?

Is it possible to use a scene to apply individual mutes to the channels and recall safe everything else (again, I am not familiar enough with this system to know the answer off hand). This way you can still mute the band easily, but not have the flashing mute lights.

Thank you for the suggestion. It’s not ideal but it gets the job done. Our 24 channels mute group makes 3/4th of the board constantly flash, but that is OK because I then switch to layer B and they are no longer visible. Then I just switch back to layer A when it is time to un-mute. The ideal would be an Allen & Heath update that has a check box option for Flashing or solid mute group indicators.
