Can i use the local inputs and a AR2412 together

Hi,

I want to buy an SQ5 and i was wondering if i can use the local inputs (16) and a AR2412 together so in total i have 40 inputs?

Short answer: yes

It all depends how you patch all the inputs in the I/O tab.

Absolutely you can. My presentation laptop, other feeds and wireless mic receivers are all local while the band and other fixed mics go via the 2412. Works like a dream.

You can patch the faders to any source and arrange the layers in any way
that you like.
If you need just one more channel sometime you can also route the talk back mic input
to a channel fader.
