Hey guys, I can’t get the names from my avantis solo recalled into the Live Trax. I’ve followed these steps with no luck:
-
Create a new recording session.
-
It will then ask you how many tracks you want to record. Confirm this
-
Now you have all the tracks, but they’re unlabelled
-
Click on the gear icon in the top right
-
Select Control Surfaces, then check the box for your mixer type
-
Press the configuration button that now appears next to the text “Edit the settings for selected protocol”
-
In the pop-up window, select “Accept channel names from mixer”
-
Now press “Request ALL channel names from mixer”
Search online for “Using Harrison LiveTrax with Allen & Heath consoles”. That article has everything you need.

Followed this step by step. But haven’t been able to get the “Midi Control 1” tho show up in Trax. Could it be something wrong in my Midi control app?
I’m connected to Dante network via an Ethernet port and to the control network via WiFi. Could this be a problem?
If I recall correctly, Dante doesn’t play nicely with WiFi enabled in this setup. But a few things: do you see one of the boxes at the bottom of the Midi Control App window flickering when you move a fader on the mixer? Do you get audio to LiveTrax despite the naming problem? Also, why not combine audio and control on the primary ethernet port on your Dante card? (Assuming your card has that capability, of course.)
If you’re still having problems, I’ll need to get to my venue to check this further.
Yes the box is flickering.
Also the virtual soundcheck works fine meaning I’m getting the audio in the channels.
We have 2 different VLANS one for everything Dante and one for control in order to keep the Dante as smooth as possible
If it’s easy, try putting control on the ethernet, just as a troubleshooting step.
