Does anyone know if it is possible to you the iOS SQ remote control app without using wifi? I have an Apple USB ethernet adapther on my iPad and prefer always using a wired connection…

If I get a router/switch which autoassigns DHCP, I can make it work? What do you think?

There are so called ‚usb to ethernet‘ adapters for android and iOS in the consumer market, that work. But you need to take care of

  • does your iOS or android version support ethernet?
  • is the adapter successfully used and approved for your type of tablet?
    cause there is no generally recommendable unit.

you wouldnt need a router, you could use a direct connection and set the ip adresses manually.

Thanks for your thoughts. Not sure if the USB Ethernet adapter works with iOS unless automatic DHCP is involved, but I’ll give it a go.
