Change Scene via midi

Hello folk,

I have a CQ18T and have problems to change Scene via midi command.
CQ is directly connected to a PC with USB midi interface.
I monitor the midi commands via DAW (Reaper) and receive following when I change Scene on CQ to i.e. 5,
B0 00 00 C0 04 00
that fits to manual,
But when change to another scene on CW and send exactly same midi commands back nothing happens, no scene change on CQ
it does not understand it’s own command

Bug or any hints ?

Thanks,
Mike

Did you solve this? I see the exact same problem with CQ20b - I have many other parameters under external control such as faders and mutes, but this simple one isn’t working for me.

You can try to send a simple Program Change to see.

No, could not solve it,
It is a mess,
Such a simple function

I have it working just fine.
Whatever hardware able to send Program Change to the CQ is good.

Ok, which midi command exactly do you send ?
Do you see the scene change in display ?
As you can see above I send already a program change,
0xc0 0x04 0x00,
This program change for midi channel 0 to scene 5

I use stage traxx 3 and just did a quick test with my stream deck and the midi plugin.
The CQ react instantanatly.
On ST3 I use the format midi command PC1@1 (first number is the scene number, second number is the channel).
With the stream deck, here is a screen copy:

Thank you for checking,
Do you have a chance to monitor which bytes the traxx 3 sends exactly ?
According to CQ datasheet it should send bank select followed by program change,
All send to midi channel 0
Unfortunately nothing happens on CQ18T

Midi channel 0 ? Are you sure ?

Ah! This is working for me - probably worked all along. I had assumed I would have a visual indication in CQMixPad that the scene had changed, probably that the highlighted scene in the scene page would change. I now realise that isn’t how that page works :).

It would be nice if we had some way of seeing the last loaded scene name.
