I use the QU Preamp channel assign screen and set two channels 1-32 to USB and it displays “USB” in the button for those channels. Audio from a computer with the MIDI Setup Utility “configured speakers” set to the appropriate live input channels works fine. But if I use the QU Preamp Channel Assign screen and change ST1-3 channels to USB, I get a blue button with “X” in it. I am trying to get computer stereo playback to be in ST3. What am I doing wrong? TIA
I suspect it’s because the three stereo channels are “hardwired” and can’t be patched freely (see image).
Have you tried the third stereo channel with USB stereo pair 1&2?
Ok. I can;t use ST 1 or ST 2.
How do I do this?
Please excuse me and disregard my reply.
I assumed your inquiry referred to a “QU2.0”.
Only now do I realize you meant a QU-32.
It infuriates me once again that A&H mixes completely different consoles under this “QU” category.
But we should be grateful that analog consoles weren’t already exists under the QU name, otherwise they would be included in this category as well.
LOL. We stayed with A&H going analog to digital for SOME transfer of behaviors … HAH.
So I am back to trying to get the USB stereo input patched to ST3.
Hi Leswilson,
Sorry - you can’t patch USB to the stereo inputs on Qu-32. You can only patch USB channels to the ‘normal’ input channels (the count depends on your mixer model)
The USB interface is 32x32, and with a 1:1 relationship for the input channels.
