I’ve noticed when an IP8 is connected to a dLive I get channel metering on the LCD - very useful to determine an active signal where headphones aren’t available. When connected to AHM I don’t get any metering on the LCD. Is there a chance we could get AHM to send metering data to an IP8? I can see metering in the CC app, so I guess the data is available in some form.
Hi there,
IP controllers do have channel metering on AHM as well - but it does depend where you’re picking the faders from. There’s metering available for IP level and Zone level (but not for crosspoints or control groups)
Are you using one of these other things as your input?
Ahh right, yes I’m using crosspoints on my faders. I’m controlling different foyer zones on different pages so I’m not using actual IP levels on the controller.
I’ve had a look at how the metering on an IP8 works when picked from the input instead of a crosspoint and it appears the meter is post fader, so if the input fader is down or the input is muted then you don’t get metering.
So I guess my feature request is that metering on an IP controller, when associated with an input as the input directly or as a crosspoint, reflects the post pre-amp / pre-level metering of the input.
