https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SQ6_SLinkConnections_V1_2_0.pdf
in sq 5 the max it’s 151 channels and sq 6 151, in any of the cases with 6 layers we can have acces to 96 channels on sq5 and 144 channels on sq6, how it’s posible to access to the remain channels ???
salutes !!
It is just math. 16 faders per layer times 6 layers for the SQ5. All channels are available to be assigned to somewhere but there are only 96 places on an SQ5 to put them. The SQ6 has more places.
hey jafejo,
please consider that you have a maximum of 48 audio input processing channels. On top of that there are 8 fx returns, 3 matrixes, 12 aux or groups and 8 dca faders. In total: 79
So don’t worry that you have not enough faders…
6 layers dont cover 151 channels so how i can control the rest ??
salutes !!
Hello Javier,
Note the different terminology:
- Input sources are the number of mics you can connect to the mixer/stage boxes
- Input Processing Channels are the number of input audio signals that can be processed at the same time.
The SQ mixers can have up to 151 connected sources, but can only process 48 at any one time.
