Connect a patchbay to Qu32 for outboard FX

I would like to connect all of my outboard FX; reverbs, compressors, EQs, to a DBX PB-48 patchbay. How would I best connect the patchbay to a Qu32?

At the moment I have Mix 9-10 out of the Qu32 to a spot on the patchbay and use channel 12 post fade back into the mixer. It seems to be working for now. I haven’t tried it either during live rehearsal or in a recording situation. (I am using a stereo mix out because Mixes 1-4 are being used to send to 4 monitors in a live practice situation.) My DAW is Cubase 12.

I am a composer and not yet an engineer so some guidance would be appreciated.
Thnx!

The patch bay would just be an extension of the output jacks.
Patching in a external reverb from a mix out to maybe on of the stereo input channels would work fine.
Compressors and EQ’s are generally insert processing where it is in series with the channel or bus it is being used on. The hardware IO on a QU is not set up for external channel or bus insert processing. I guess you could use it for parallel compression.
