How do I connect my Win Laptop to the GLD-80 to control mixing from the laptop?
Install the GLD Editor (same version as the Firmware on your GLD, 1.6 is the latest).
Pick your mixer when you first start the program (GLD-80 or -112).
Click the connection button and enter your GLD mixer’s IP address.
Choose whether to connect to the mixer and loading the current GLD Editor settings onto the mixer (generally not a good idea) or loading the current Mixer setup on the GLD Editor (preferred).
If you want to load a setup from your GLD Editor onto the mixer, it’s best to save that as a show file in GLD Editor, connect to the mixer importing the current mixer setup, and then load the showfile to the mixer if desired. This keeps you out of trouble by accidentally overwriting the setup on the mixer when connecting.
A&H has some great GLD videos on their Youtube Channel.
Hope this helps,
Jeff
I don’t know the IP address of the soundboard. My board won’t boot up. I am getting a following error:
“Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device”
I am wondering if I can make a USB boot device to help work around this error. I was hoping that connecting my laptop would help with this.
Thank you,
Have you had any luck yet?
Has the mother board battery ever been changed in your mixer?
If not maybe that would be worth trying.
Lot of post here how to do it.
