Connecting SQ5 to Logic Pro X (Direct Sound)

I want to connecting SQ5 to Mac Logic Pro X.
Input setting is not problem, but input sound is not Direct Sound.
That’s include Gate, Compressor, Equalizer etc…
How can I take the direct sound… :frowning:

Hi Jeong,

You may want to use Tie Lines for your multitrack source instead of Direct Outs. See page 21 of the manual linked above.

I personally prefer Direct outs… I also now Tie Lines are recommended but I do not understand why.

Example:
In live-situation for me its common, that I do not have a 1:1 patching from inputs to channels. If I use Tie-Lines for Recording I have to take care of that situation and choose the right channels in the right order for recording.

Using Direct-Out I can patch the recording-stuff 1:1 – that seems simpler to me?
