Now that v2.0 firmware gives 96 input channels, it’s harder to squeeze wanted channels into the available 4 layers in Onemix.
Could (say) an additional two layers be made available in the Onemix app?
I appreciate it’s probably possible to do something in Custom Control, but Onemix serves the need of some of our musicians better.
Completely valid request which I agree should be implemented by A&H.
Obviously one alternative is to use the third party app called “Mixing Station”. That being said, I realize that asking your musicians to use the Mixing Station for their personal monitors is asking a lot. While I use Mixing Station nearly every time I mix FOH, I never liked it for musician’s personal monitor use.
This really leaves Custom Control as the “best” solution IMHO. Before we had IP6/8 for our musicians to use, I had created a CustomControl app for our musicians to mix their monitors from. Since we don’t use it anymore I haven’t really kept up with any CC changes, but here are some screenshots of what I created in CustomControl a few years ago (click on the picture to be taken to a gallery with more screenshots). Each musician selected their monitor mix using the tabs at the top of the page, and then had access to various channel layers using the tabs at the bottom of the page.
PS - @J_McRib has created a YAML file generator designed to help make creating Custom Control apps a little easier. I haven’t needed to use it yet, but it seems like a great idea! Additional User Profiles - #3 by J_McRib
Thanks for your reply… I agree Mixing Station would be a bit much for the musicians. We do have a Custom Control App set up already, and it’s well liked by the various bands.
However, I prefer to use OneMix as I can adjust the parametric and compressor on my aux send. The Custom Control app in use has been kept free of eq etc. for simplicity. I’m an audio guy when not pretending I can play bass, so like to have extra control 
So - yes - two more custom layers on OneMix please!
