Hello.
I’m confused about the Channel Assignment mapping on the CQ-12t. According to the CQ. USB-B Routing map (3 months old), the CQ-12T output channels do not go beyond 16, with 11-16 being configurable and 17-24 being N/A. However, on my CQ-12T USB configuration page it shows assignments for channels 17-22. Furthermore, I seem to be able to make a selection for 17&18, but 19&20 and 21&22 do not change if I make a selection. Is the documentation wrong? Why can I only make a selection for 17&18? Thanks
Hello.
What is exactly your “USB configuration page” ?
The USB B Routing document for CQ (https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/31464715078929-CQ-USB-B-Routing) is up to date and not incorrect.
On CQ-12T you get a 16x16 interface. Upstream and downstream are independent.
On the CQ-12T you can configure upstream (to computer)/sends for channels 11/12, 13/14 and 15/16 are user configurable. 15/16 is also the stereo send to your stereo USB-A recording.
I also echo Frenchie’s question - where is your USB configuration page that you’re seeing those extra channels?
I highlighted with an arrow the channels 17-22. Am I misunderstanding what those numbers represent? Thanks.
Looks like a display bug in the CQMixpad.
Had never noticed up to now.
I have the same than you UTBtech.
Thanks - I’ll make sure that’s in our bug reporting system. That does look like a UI bug - do those channels work in the expected numbers rather than the displayed ones?
By working in the expected numbers are you referring to 11-16? If so, I’m not sure I know how to validate that in my setup. I’m not feeding a DAW, but a Win11 interface that has a number of applications to support FM radio broadcasting in a studio that is remotely controlled from a different geographic location. When I engage multilink, I get three stereo pairs on the Windows interface. See attachment for how the output. I’ll place the input in another post.
Thanks for the quick replies.
There are display discrepancies btw CQ sceen and CQMipax.
Cq mixpad doesn’t update the selection done in the CQ.
But it seems to be only at display level, I have teste and the channels are correctly selected.
Here is a screenshot of the dropdown channel Assignment box and a screenshot of how the outputs are lableled. Note that 5&6 output descriptor does not match the presentation in the dropdown box. I get the same dropdown for my erroneously labeled 17-22, but I can only make a selection for 17&18. Nothing happens when I make a selection for pairs 19-22.
