CQ 18 with ASIO4All in Windows

Hi, I´m using Windows and Bitwig.

When I select the CQ Asio device all channels 18 inputs and outputs are shown correct.

But when I´m trying to run the CQ with ASIO4All I can see only the 8 outputs of the CQ.

Where are all the other 18 inputs channels?

Thanks

This seems to be an ASIO4ALL issue. You will need to contact the developer of that software for help with this problem.

EDIT - I actually looked at the ASIO4ALL site and found this note which is likely the cause of your “issue”.

Since ASIO4ALL presents itself to the audio software as a single ASIO driver, but due to its various configuration options, can act like a chameleon, there are numerous things that can go wrong without ASIO4ALL being at fault. Most notably, if you change the device setup in the ASIO4ALL control panel, the number of available input and output channels is likely to change, as well as the names of the channels that are seen by the host application. Therefore, it is always advisable to restart your audio host application after any change in the audio device setup whenever you find that the particular application does not appear to be able to handle these kinds of changes on the fly.*

Regardless of what the developers are saying in that message, I would still argue that it IS ASIO4ALL fault (after all, if the regular ASIO drivers have no issues then there is something in the ASIO4ALL detection scheme that is failing), but whatever. Restarting the CQ unit will likely fix your issue.
