CQ-18T screen brightness settings

Hello, I’ve tried several times to overright my show files, but my unit isn’t saving the screen/LED/backlight settings. The manual (V1.2 Issue 4) mentions these settings should be saved with a show file. I must be missing something? My config info is attached.

BTW, after 6 or so years with a very nice Presonus interface, I’m absolutely loving the CQ as the new brains of my home studio and, of course, all the fun live adventures.

Hi there @Alvis
Very pleased to hear you’re enjoying your CQ in the studio.

Sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with saving preferences. I’ve just checked it on my CQ and indeed it’s working correctly.
So - it’s important to note that Shows and Scenes save different information/preferences. As the CQ only stores one show internally, you’ll need to save your Show to a USB storage device (by navigating to Home button > Data) in order to make use of the Screen/LED brightness etc.

A show will save all of your scenes (up to 100) within it.

Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any more questions should you need - it’s what we’re all here for.

All the best,
Max

Hi @Max A%H,

Thanks for the prompt reply! I have been storing all my shows on a USB drive, but I still have to reset the brightness daily.

I think I’m on the latest firmware.

Hello,

I’ve discovered the cause of my unit screen brightness control issue. The Mixpad app screen brightness setting, at start-up, is not syncing with current screen brightness setting on my unit. Also, increasing the unit screen brightness causes the Mixpad indicator to jump rapidly in value as compared to the unit indicator value. Possiblly a firmware code value error.
