CQ-18T software shutdown missing?

Hi everyone, apologies if this seems like a stupid question but I can’t seem to find a software shutdown option anywhere on the CQ-18T anywhere, only the physical power switch?

In the quickstart sheet that was included with the mixer it says, “initiate the software shutdown before turning the mixer off last”. As I said, I can’t find a software shutdown button anywhere, and there is no mention of it in the full manual on the website. I have looked in the menus of the mixer itself as well as on the mixpad app but can’t find anything regarding shutdown. I’ve previously used a Qu-Pac and there’s a shutdown option on the homescreen, but this option isn’t there on my CQ-18T

I don’t want to shutdown my mixer without following the correct procedure and potentially causing damage but I cannot find out how to do this. Does anyone know? Hope I’m not just being thick!

Hi Rich,

No you’re not being thick!
We do plan to add this as it ensures a graceful shutdown on the software side.
The main things to watch for when turning off the power directly are that you’re not storing/recalling data or recording audio to USB-A or SD.

Thanks Keith! So just to clarify, I’m ok to simply shutdown with the power switch then? Until there’s a new update with a software shutdown feature, of course.

Yes, just make sure you’re not storing/recalling or recording anything and leave it for a second or two untouched before you do so (to allow the state to be stored, which is then recalled on boot).
