CQ-18T: where do outputs 21-24 from the DAW are routed to the mixer?

Hello,

When I stream outputs 1-2, 13-15 or 17-18 (for example), I understand that those outputs are routed to the corresponding channels of the mixer. For the outputs 19-20, it’s routed to the USB channels, which is great.

But I don’t understand where outputs 21-24 are routed. By the way, outputs 23-24 are not supposed to exist per se because the CQ-18T can act “only” as a 22 output audio interface.

Thanks for your help,

Cyril.

I think I understood how it works:

In the processing tab, we can switch the Bluetooth channel to USB/Card outputs 23-24 (but it should be available in the config tab as well, in my opinion). And indeed, it works.

Finally, outputs 21-22 do nothing in the CQ-18T, but I guess it’s related to the CQ-20B which can act as a 24/24 audio interface, so that Allen & Heath devs use the same code for both mixers.

The manual could explain some of your questions.
At least it would be my first place to search.
Pages 69 and following.

Hi Cyril,
We’ve recently posted a new article on our Knowledgebase which shows both the downstream and upstream USB routing across the three CQ Models.
Check it out here: https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/31464715078929-CQ-USB-B-Routing

Hope this helps!
