CQ doesn't send input to usb when selecting Input source as "Digital"

Hi,
I want to to use my DAW as an insert point in the CQ
Currently if I select as Input source the Digital Channel the USB input in my DAW stops.
I think it would make more sense for the input to be always there and “interrupt” the signal like an insert.

As the tap off points for USB out come after the USB input, it is impossible to use the USB port as an insert, it would require a complete restructuring of the signal flow.
