Hi, a query to Keith and the team or anybody who can answer this anomaly.
Im currently changing bands so effectively working 2 as I work my notice.
Now….Ive hooked up my CQ to Setlist Maker on an iPad running via a CME H4 midi router, working with old band for simple song by song mute/unmute just one channel, works fine. I do run all manner of intialisations to my synths at show start, noticing it turns off group mute left on from previous show ( soft key for interval muting full stage). Anyway, thats not the problem and assumed its some carry thru from a synth setup on global ch 1.
Now on to the 2nd band, I created a new show and initial scene as you do. When I run the new band Setlist init, it actuall changes the show to first band. I cant find any midi protocol in the midi manual that does this.
I have solved this by breaking up the raw midi init routines to separate devices and allocated to separate ports and channels to fix.
So can you change show via midi command? That would be handy for show changing to suit other options.

Have no experience with Setlist maker but
I am sure that you can’t midi change a show.
There is only ever one show on the mixer. Shows are saved to USB sick or external USB drive.
So was I but it happened several times whilst messing with a new band setlist with similar midi related setup routines before I broke them up into individual midi presets, each routed to specific ports, thus any raw data on ch 1 finding its way to CQ was diverted to desired destination. Having done this, my suspitions were correct, and selected new band show was then stable. But prior to that, everytime I ran the multiple raw midi init scripts, the show dropped back to other band. Very weird and no reference to midi commands for shows.
i know stuff is held on USB etc and I have one left in full time, plus am running very recent firmware and mixpad apps etc. Hoping the A&H team can shed some light here.
For now, problem solved and further midi control for my CQ20 is possible when needed as and when, more for specific song on offs rather than level adjustment.
I have recreated the issue a few times, checked against manual selection on mix app etc.
Turns out its NOT show change as it appeared, its the damn scenes issue, new show still has old scenes from previous show. Channel names were changing so I assumed it was show change ftom one band show to another.
ANOTHER REASON A&H to attach ALL scene or show selection to display or show a tick to active selection, that would have made more sense and clarity.
I had left a setup soundcheck scene thinking it was a null setup, but had named channels etc.
