Hi all , I am thinking of purchasing the cq18t to replace my current system and I am wondering if it will be an upgrade or possibly a downgrade , the reason I want to change is because my current system is becoming a bit cumbersome with too many bits and pieces , it is a live system for a solo/ duo act vocal and guitars consisting of a 2021 MacBook Pro running Apple MainStage a neve 88m two channel interface with an Rcf tt sound speaker system , I generally only use the two inputs , but now I need more so it’s either a new interface with more inputs or a digital desk , I just want to know if the sound quality will be as good or better with the cq18 , and also will the effects be as good , I use valhalla reverb and waves cla compressors on MainStage , any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, also is the Allen and heath sq a step up sound wise from the cq ? Thy
It will be much easier to plug in, turn on and go than what you are using now for a live show. Sound wise will be as good if not better.
As for the effects…for the most part those are for your satisfaction the audience is not going to notice any difference out in the room watching your show.
Thank you for your reply, I think what you are sayyis the effects will not be as good but no one will notice, I think I will try it out from Thomann and as always with them we have the 30 day return which is great, I guess you never really know until you try it ?
Not saying they will not be as good but just different, keep in mind there is a basic and advanced operating mode on CQ effects.
Who knows you may like them better!
Thanks for your advice , I will try one out and see how it goes ?
