CQ12t Display Defective?

Hi there,

today I took my CQ12t out if its case, switched it on and then this:

A static yellow vertical line - completely independent from what’s on the screen.

Is my screen going to die?

Has any other CQ user ever seen this before?

How can I get this fixed? (I live in Germany.

Best

Hi Doc,

Sorry that you’ve had this issue.

In brief, you need to reach out to your local distributor. For Germany, this is AudioTechnica DE.

Audio-Technica Deutschland GmbH

Peter-Sander-Straße 43C

They will be able to guide you through the servicing process. If you’ve got any issues, reach out to us at support@allen-heath.com

Thank you Mark for the quick answer. I will contact my retailer and see what they are willing to do with the issue, and if this should turn out unsuccessful I will contact Audio-Technica then.

There was a slight hope that this was an issue that could be fixed otherwise, e.g. because it is due to a software issue, but as it seems this is a problem with the actual hardware.

It looks like hardware to me. If you’re in warranty, it’ll be able to be repaired as part of that.

So, my cq12t is traveling to my retailer and I’m hoping this will turn out well.

Meanwhile… yesterday I had a gig with an SQ-6 (not mine), turned it on and…

Pink vertical line from bootup to shutdown always there.

Is this contagious?

I think both devices are about the same age, for my cq12t I can tell approximately, I had bought it in November ‘24. I also own an SQ-5 and now I don’t dare to power it up and check for that line on the display. My SQ-5 is some years older, however, and so far runs without any issues.

If this should occur more often, there’s maybe something to fix in the manufacturing.

Needless to say, both affected mixers still did their job very well also with the fault in the display.

Depart from me !! :hand_with_fingers_splayed: :magic_wand:

Bad LCD ribbon contact.
