Hey all, looking to move from my QU-24 to the CQ18 and I have a question on rack mounting:
I’m looking at one of the SKB top/front rolling rack cases ( the 10 x 4 to be exact) and I was wondering if there is enough room to keep the XLRs connected when the lid is on and locked down? Anyone use one of those cases?
I may go with low-profile XLRs, but curious to know how much headroom is in there.
Well, I ordered my CQ18-T, SKB 10 x 4 rolling rack and am about to order a set of low profile XLRs from Redco, so I’ll report back - I think it the low profile XLRs will allow the cover to be installed without disconnecting anything…
Hi Dave - how did you make out with this mixer case?
I used low profile XLRs and they worked out great! I used these:
That’s awesome! Thanks for the link. Do you think standard XLR would fit as well?
I think they might have, but I didn’t test it out.
I had that problem. I solved it by purchasing right angle XLR extenders from Amazon. The top closes easily now.
