Just purchased the CQ18T. I’d like to create a stereo mix for the singer’s IEM.
I keep reading about using two of the AUX sends (that are mono) to create a “FAUX Stereo mix” but it doesn’t make much sense to me
If I use a splitter for example that plugs into aux1 and aux2 and has a stereo female how does that gives me instruments in stereo?
Isn’t that just a mono signal in each ear?
Can someone help me understand how this allows me to pan instruments in the IEM?
If my question doesn’t make sense it’s because I’m confused ?
Thanks for any help u can offer
Go to config, outputs
Link two of the outputs as stereo (i.e. out1, out2)
Go to fader, send to; the new linked outputs show as a combined one
adjust your fader levels and pans to the combined output
Now, you need to get it into their headphones. Lots of possible ways to do this. Here’s one:
Use a IEM headphone amp such as the Behringer P1. Run one cable to one input (L) and another cable to the other input (R).
You’ll need two 1/4 TRS to XLR cables to send balanced audio from the CQ to the personal mixer.
