CQ18T: enable usb input 21/22 as extra USB track

on the CQ18T as there’s no ST2 input the usb output 21/22 are not assigned.
but the tracks are available via USB
Add another USB Track in place of ST2 and allow us to use it on CQ18 as an extra track via USB

Interesting. +1

+1 this would be useful for backing tracks and studio use of its not too complicated.

Isn’t the USB just a bus?

In Multi channel mode if I connect via USB to my computer I can route any of the 24 tracks on the CQ20 as I wish. So ST17 and 18 can be mono inputs if I choose. 21/22 usually assigned to USB can be directed as I wish also. Or am I misreading or not understanding the objective (Ie is this a LIVE mode issue as opposed to a STUDIO Recording mode request).

In the Cq18t the track is present via USB but is missing in the mixer.
On the cq20 you can select it and set it to analog/usb as it has an extra stereo in
would be nice to have the track routed also on cq18 to have two extra sends from a DAW

I’ll explain better
I’m using the mixer in two situation where this could be useful:

  1. as a recording interface
  2. playing backing track live
for recording I would like to have the full 16 channels available for recording but I need some sends from the DAW for monitor output
For backing tracks is the same I am sending 5 stereo stems from a daw with drums bass/keys gtrs/backing vocals/extra and I would like to route them on the outputs without using analog channels
There’s already the ‘limitation’ that I cannot split the USB/bluetooth and stereo tracks so I need in teory 6 stereo track to handle the 6 aux busses for monitoring
