Is it really Not possible to send an input to MONITORS only? I want to have a talkback mic that I can use a HOTSHOT MD with so I can talk to the band and tell them “let’s do song X next instead”…or “too slow…too fast”
What I “thought” would work would Input 1 → Main vocal…people can add it to their monitor mix. Input 2 → Copy of Main vocal but via the HOTSHOT MD mic switch I would tap output B and re-route to Input 2 instead.
What I obviously don’t want is for input 2 to go to the MAIN LR send as I only want band members to be able to hear that via their monitor mix. This way I can quickly talk to them without the crowd hearing me.
I set it up and found that when I choose MAIN LR for Input 2 (the talk to band input) if I turn it down to 0…it also turns down the amount it sends to all of the aux sends.
There’s no way for me to stop sending an input to the MAIN LR mix altogether but still have it available for AUX sends?
I up-voted a feature request that already exists for this…but man that seems like one that was surprisingly omitted if that’s the case.
Any suggested workarounds if that’s not the case?
NEVERMIND I’M AN IDIOT! SOMEONE CONFIGURED MY AUX SENDS TO BE POST FADER (grrrr). New rule → noone touches the mixer
