FX temp
Hi guys, I haven’t mixed with my cq20b yet but have noticed the FX temp is sitting around 77c while the mixer is sitting doing nothing with nothing plugged in.
I saw on the cq18t facebook
page a guy has a problem with the FX overheating and getting a warning coming up at 85c.
Another unit that had a problem the fx sat on 77c but fan speed was around 3,000rpm where mine in 1,000 rpm.
Has anyone noticed what their fx temp is?

Just an update. The fan seems to speed up once the effects and core temp hit 76c. It’s like it is regulated between 76-77c. 25c ambient temp…
Your temperatures seem within the normal range - CQ’s processor isn’t like a computer in that it doesn’t slow down or speed up cycles as the load changes. It’s running flat out all the time, as the audio processing is permanently available.
I have a CQ-20B on my desk and the temperatures are very close to yours. There’s nothing to worry about here!
