CQ20B how to use hi-z inputs

I’m clearly missing something here… the documentation states that the two hi-z inputs are “relay switched”, but what controls this relay? Where is the control to determine whether the input is line or hi-z, or is it in fact always hi-z? The schematic for the inputs shows these two inputs with no such relay, nothing that indicates that they are dual mode. I don’t see anything in the configuration/inputs section of the app to do this for inputs 15/16.

Trying to use one one of these inputs , the signal level through the system for a direct connected instrument (e.g. bass) is very very low, literally more noise than usable signal, suggesting the input is still expecting a line level signal. No amount of post-input gain is going to rescue this.

???

Ok, I found it. It’s in the Processing section. Poor choice in the UI design on that. It’s a feature that functionally changes a physical piece of hardware on the input. That’s configuration, not processing.

@chris

Sorry, you’re correct that this is just as much (if not more) of a config setting and was logged almost immediately following launch to be included there too.

Thanks,
Keith.

Keith, thank you for the follow-up!

I feel a bit stupid, but where exactly is this hi-Z setting for ch15-16? I cannot find it in either the config or the processing sections. I am using CQMixpad v1.2.1 for Windows in Demo mode (so no CQ20B connected right now).
