CQ20B: Problem with Assignable Outputs

Hi all,

I just purchased an Allen & Heath CQ20B.

I plan to use it for an IEM split and in testing it have encountered a problem. When all 6 aux outputs are linked up to 3 Stereo mixes, one of the stereo mixes does not show up on the selection menu for the assignable outputs.

I have attached a picture that hopefully shows what I mean. As you can see, Out 3/4 is missing from the menu.

The assignable outputs use case for a monitor engineer is being able to select different mixes to listen to, but this renders that unworkable.

I’m assuming it’s a software bug?

Has anyone else noticed this problem? I would be very grateful if someone else who has purchased one could tell me if they have the same problem.

Any other help and advice would be very welcome, thank you in advance.

@bvaughan

Thanks for reporting this - it has indeed been logged as a bug and should be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release.

Keith.

Hi Keith,

Thank you kindly for your response, it’s great to hear that this will be fixed.

Could I ask for an idea of when we might expect to see this update?

Ben

@bvaughan

We don’t give ETA’s on releases as it’s so dependent on the development/test cycle, but it will be released as soon as signed off and if you’ve registered to receive emails, you’ll be notified when it’s available for download - though with CQ, firmware updates are also pushed out with CQ-MixPad updates.

Thanks,
Keith.

Hi Keith,

No worries, great to hear that it’s on the way!
